Welcome to Deanwood Primary School. Starting school is a most important time in your child's life and at Deanwood we aim to make it a great start. Being a smaller school helps us to create a happy, successful and safe environment in which to learn.
Deanwood is a community Primary School with a nursery provision. At present, there are 209 children on roll, organised into eight classes. A large percentage of our children join us at the age of 3 and leave at the end of Year 6. Deanwood joined the Howard Academy Trust on 1st October 2016.
Studybugs for Parents and Carers
A better, safer way to report when your child is sick and off school. With a few quick taps or clicks, you can give your child’s school all they need to record absence due to illness.
We recognise that a curriculum has to be broad, balanced and offer pupils opportunities to grow as individuals as well as learners. We also intend to offer our pupils new and exciting experiences through extra-curricular activities that are designed to build resilience, confidence and self-esteem.
At Deanwood we want everybody to be “Happy, Successful and Safe”. We aim to do this by promoting the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty
& mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
More from Mrs Turner's Club. This time, it is the Tuesday Art and Crafts Club who are getting "creatively grubby" with clay!
We would like to celebrate the achievements of Hunter and Jayden from Hawthorn Class. They both had their work displayed in an Art Exhibition at the Nucleus Gallery in Chatham. Miss Rumjaun made a visit to the gallery and took some pictures to share with you all. I am sure you will agree that they are both very talented young artists - well done, Hunter and Jayden!
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our families a happy and relaxing Easter break. We will see you again on Wednesday 23rd April.
